# Swap

RAKE's supported swap action and its source-defined execution path.

## Swap

Swap trades assets through the RAKE router. The command states the input amount and target asset.

```
@rake_agent swap 0.05 ETH to $PONS
```

### Execution flow

```
Swap request
    ↓
RAKE creates Echo draft
    ↓
User confirms exact amount
    ↓
RAKE router executes
    ↓
Asset swap completes
```

Swap requires Echo confirmation. RAKE prepares a transaction draft from the request. The initial command does not independently authorize execution.

The confirmation amount must exactly match the draft amount. A different amount does not execute the transaction. [Echo Confirmation](/rake/how-rake-works/echo-confirmation.md) defines the full confirmation rules.

### Example

```
@rake_agent swap 0.05 ETH to $PONS
```

RAKE prepares this swap for confirmation. It executes only after the matching confirmation.

RAKE does not support raw-address transfers, limit orders, or other unsupported trading actions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.rakelaunch.xyz/rake/trading-and-utility/swap.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
